1 DAY. CUSCO PISCACUCHO TO AYAPATA BASE CAMP.
Our staff lead by our guide will collect you from your Hotel. you will drive for two a half to the starting point Km 82 or Piscacucho is a local community located in the lower part of the sacred valley. This is the starting of the Inca Trail. where you will a checkpoint pass then we start our hike by crossing the bridge over the Urubamba river the path is in the left side of the river and it flows northwest along the sacred valley following the trail in flat terrain until we arrive at Miskay from here you will start to ascend until to the beautiful viewpoint to see, impressive Inca site of Llaptapata. We continue hiking along Kusichaca valley near the Kusichaca River until we arrive for our lunch in Hatunchaca. Morning hike before lunch will be about four hours, After lunch, we continue hiking for two hours until we arrive at our basecamp Ayapata. The First day you will be able to enjoy the spectacular views of the Urubamba mountain range and Huayanay snowed capped mountain 5800 m. Not to mention the diversity of wild flora and fauna that can be found all along the hike of today. Duration: 8.7 miles 14 Km. Time: 6 to 7 hours, Altitude: 3300 meters.
DAY 2 AYAPATA WARMIHUAÑUSCA PASS TO CHAQUICCOCHA CAMP.
after a healthy breakfast. we will begin the most challenging part of our trek. ascent into the subtropical forest. during this ascent, we will observe the changes of the landscape from lush green forest to the high mountain then we reach our highest point WARMIHUAÑUSCA (dead woman’s pass – 4200m/ 1400ft) one of the few plants that grow at high altitude. This will be the highest point that we reach on this journey. After our free time taking photos and resting, We will descend for two hours to have lunch in Pacaymayo alto. After lunch will continue our ascent to Runkurakay pass 3900 m./ 12,402 ft. After will descend to Sayacmarca archeological site, our guide will explain to you about this Inca remaining then you will be hiking in the best part of the Inca trail, to get our campsite Chaquiccocha. In the last part of our hike will the cloud forest or high jungle. today’s hike is more active with outstanding views and rich in wildlife like Hummingbirds and others Duration: 9.95miles 16. Km, Time: 8 to 9 hours, Altitude: 3000 meters to 3600 meters avobe sea level.
DAY 3 CHAQUICCOCHA TO WIÑAYHUANA CAMP
Today’s hike is more enjoying and learning about Inca History you will pass be amazing archaeological sites and is half-day hiking the afternoon resting before we get to our main destinations Machu Picchu, today you will see the high engineering skills in building paths, tunnels, and ceremonial temples. overlooking the sacred snow-capped mountains as a Salkantay, Pumasillo, and Wacayhuillca in the Region, after breakfast, we continue our hike in the lush cloud forest rich in Andean flora and fauna from Chaquiccocha to the third pass, Phuyupatamrca means temple above of the clouds. Phuyupatamaraca is an enigmatic and mysterious place with 360° views of the Salkantay, and Pumacillo mountains. considered one of the most important temples to worship their deities in the Inca times From this point, you will see the Machu Picchu mountain and Wayna Picchu then we will continue our descend to Intipata one of the biggest farming areas back Inca time, with impressive overlooking to Urubamba river then we will get to Wiñaywayna campsite 2650meters. in the afternoon you will explore the archeological site of Wiñayhuayna. this afternoon you will have a thankful meeting with your trekking crew like your super porters and your chef. Duration: 9.95 miles /16.km, Time: 4 to 5 hours, Altitude,3600 meters to 2600meters above sea level.
DAY 4 EXPLORE MACHUPICCHU AFTERNON BACK TO CUSCO. Today is a very big day because our dreams will come true to know the new seven wonders of the world Machu Picchu. We will wake up early morning and leave our camp Wiñayhuayna, first, we will go to the last checkpoint located very close to our previous camp. after passing this control point we begin our hike to the sun gate it will take for one hour. this is the first viewpoint of Machupicchu. you will have plenty of time to enjoy the view, depending on the weather conditions we can enjoy the sunrise of the ancient city. after we will continue our hike to the citadel where your guide will show the best spots to take postcard photos then you will exit the site to use toilets and have your snacks, After having your free time you will get back to the Citadel to explore this magical Inca city and enjoy learning about it was built and discovered. for 3 hours. You will then have free time to wander around and if you got a Ticket for Wayna Picchu you can climb. Note. There are just 400 visitors allowed per day. You have to book in advance the entrance with us to ensure your permit In the afternoon we meet in the town of Aguas Calientes. From here we take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy depending on the space and private transportation back to your Hotel Cusco. Duration: 3 miles /7km, Time: 2:30hrs. Distance. 7km. Altitude. From 2600 to 2400 meters about sea level.
BRIEFING
The night before your trek, we will go to your hotel at a coordinated Time with you for your briefing. We will provide you a duffel bag that will stay with your porters while you hike, this duffel bag should not exceed 7kg or 14 pounds does need to include your sleeping bag and air mattress.
PERMITS
As soon we receive your details and deposit, we will purchase your permits depending on availability, these permits are for a specific date and in your name. They cannot be changed once are confirmed. Only your passport number is allowed to be updated. The permit includes an entrance to Machu Picchu.

PORTERS
We include a personal porter who is responsible for carrying your duffel bag, you will not have access to your duffel bag until your campsite, there is no extra fee for this.

You will have transportation include in this trek, from Cusco hotel or sacred valley to Km. 82 starting point and return to your hotel from the train station could be from Ollanta or Poroy.
We include expedition train from Aguas Calientes, you may want to upgrade to the Vistadome train service has extra 75$ per person.
We include the bust ticket from Machu Picchu citadel to Aguas Calientes town.

We provide you a very nice four-season EUREKA TENTS. That is shared for two people you will also have a dining and cooking tents.

We provide you an experienced chef who is an expert in cooking in the mountains respecting the food restriction of our clients. Let us know in advance or in your briefing before your departure. WATER
Very important and is required to bring your own water bottle for the trek, we will provide you from the first lunch filtered, boiled cool down water to refill your water bottle at every campsite or Lunch spots.
FIRST AID
Every tour guide who is part of “Machu Picchu Trails Peru” received training in first aid from the high mountain specialists we do every February, your tour guide will have a first aid kit for basic medical situations. Also, in all our treks we provide oxygen for emergency situations in the worse cases, our staff will get you off the trail and we will assist you to get to the clinic if is needed.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
This is strongly recommended for traveling anywhere. Especially for those of you who live at sea level. Cusco region is located over 3000m. 10,000 ft. Highly recommended to arrive one day early of your tour starts to adjust to the altitude. As well it is suggested to have protection for missed tours.
WUAYANA PICCHU
Beautiful mountains stand behind the citadel of Machu Picchu is an extra 45-minute hike until to the top when you book your Inca Trail permit to make sure to added $75 to book your Huayna Picchu ticket. Nota. Not enjoyable for the people who are afraid of heights or vertigo.
WHAT WE RECOMEND TO BRING
* Backpack with a change of clothes for the whole period of the trek.
* Strong footwear, waterproof trekking boots recommended.
* Sandals or jogging shoes for a higher comfort while at camp.
* Warm clothes, including jacket, fleeces. Thermal clothing is also recommended, especially for sleeping.
* Cámara and batteries (batteries consume more quickly under cold conditions)

* Insect repellent – minimum recommended 20% deet – no malaria risk has been reported
